Lakers hold out Lonzo Ball (ankle), Brandon Ingram (contusion)

ONTARIO, Calif. -- The Lakers held Lonzo Ball (mild sprained ankle) and Brandon Ingram (head contusion) out of Wednesday night's preseason game against Denver.

Ball landed on Denver point guard Emmanuel Mudiay's foot near the end of the first half of a preseason game Monday. While Ball played briefly in the second half, the Lakers opted to play it safe with their prized point guard.

Ingram bumped his head with Denver's Malik Beasley during Monday's game and was evaluated by Lakers team doctor Daniel Vigil. Ingram was diagnosed with a head contusion.
