Lakers Free Agency Rumors: Robert Sacre receives training camp invite from Pelicans

The Los Angeles Lakers’ lost their two longest tenured players in one offseason. Kobe Bryant retired after 20 seasons with the team, and now backup center Robert Sacre has reportedly received a training camp invite from the New Orleans Pelicans, according to Marc Stein of ESPN.

Sacre had spent his entire career so far with the Lakers, averaging 4.2 points and two rebounds in 14.5 minutes per game in his four seasons with the team. The Lakers selected Sacre with the 60th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.

Sacre and the Lakers parting ways is hardly surprising.
