With the 2019 NBA Draft near, the Los Angeles Lakers and New Orleans Pelicans made a trade involving Anthony Davis, Brandon Ingram, and Lonzo Ball.
The Lakers will land their second All-Star player, but they gave up Ball, Ingram, Josh Hart, and multiple first round draft picks. However, they did not want to include Kyle Kuzma since they value him as the No. 27 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.
It is no surprise that the Lakers have been actively pursuing Davis for some time now and they have finally completed the deal for the 26-year-old. Pairing him with LeBron James automatically sets them up for immediate championship contention, but they are not done making noise heading into free agency.
