Kobe Bryant will play his final game inside TD Garden on Wednesday night as the Los Angeles Lakers take on the Boston Celtics. While there is still one more game against the Celtics left in the illustrious career of Kobe, his final road game in the series with the Lakers’ most bitter rival has a special feel to it.
Bryant has undoubtedly been a huge part in the later chapters of the Lakers-Celtics rivalry that dates back over 50 years now. While the rivalry has been decidedly one-sided in recent years given the injuries to Kobe and the decline of the Lakers into rebuilding mode, the two teams have always shared a special bond with one another as the league’s greatest rivalry.
