Just seven months into his career with the Los Angeles Lakers, Jose Calderon is anticipating a move to the Golde State Warriors. According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, the 2015 league champions are interested in signing the 35-year-old Spanish guard once he hits the open market.
Stein also mentions that the Lakers must waive Calderon by Wednesday in order for him to be eligible to sign with a playoff team. The Warriors clinched a playoff spot Saturday with their win against the last-place Brooklyn Nets.
Calderon was acquired in a salary dump that allowed the Chicago Bulls to sign Dwyane Wade and gave the Lakers two future second draft picks.
