Former D-Fender forward, Justin Harper, was recently called up to the NBA by Stan Van Gundy and the Detroit Pistons.
Harpers’ value has been present throughout the season, even playing in the D-League All-star game, which makes his current 10-day contract no surprise to those who follow the D-League. Seeing how, the Pistons have suffered from injuries of late, specifically to Stanley Johnson, the move makes even more sense.
The goal of all D-League coaches should be to get his or her players to the next level and Harper’s D-Fenders coach, Casey Owens, is content that he did just that.
