The Los Angeles Lakers are parting ways with Corey Brewer, the two sides coming to a contract buyout agreement Wednesday morning, reports Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports. Brewer’s role has fluctuated through the season, appearing in 54 of the Lakers’ 60 games.
The buyout landing before Mar. 1 allows Brewer to be playoff eligible, and the Oklahoma City Thunder have “serious interest” in signing him, according to Charania. Other teams on the radar include the Cleveland Cavaliers, Portland Trail Blazers and Milwaukee Bucks.
