LOS ANGELES -- It's been a regular occurrence late in the fourth quarter during Lakers games this season to hear raucous "Bronny! Bronny!" chants from the crowds at Crypto.com Arena, pining to see rookie Bronny James get subbed in during garbage time.
Thursday, Lakers coach JJ Redick -- with nearly half his roster out with injuries as L.A. completed its sixth game in the last eight days -- didn't need any cajoling from the fans to put him in during L.A.'s 118-89 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.
Rather than cheering Bronny on as a side show, the Lakers guard took center stage, going 1-on-1 against two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo in the first half.
