LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Lakers' locker room emptied fast Tuesday night, almost as fast as the Staples Center crowd that booed their home team off the court here after another double-digit loss, the Lakers’ fourth straight defeat to open the season.
It was as if Lakers players left in such a hurry because they had a late-night plane to catch, but that wasn’t the case. They don’t leave for a five-game road trip until Thursday. But lingering in the locker room after the other players left was arguably the team’s most important future asset, D'Angelo Russell.
