The injury woes continue for the Lakers, who announced shortly after Saturday’s practice that guard/forward Anthony Brown would miss at least four weeks after an MRI revealed a stress reaction in his right foot.
Brown, a rookie out of Stanford, started on Friday for the Lakers, who were already shorthanded with Kobe Bryant (shoulder), Jordan Clarkson (knee) and Lou Williams (hamstring) out with injuries. Brown started alongside Nick Young in place of Clarkson and Bryant, scoring seven points in just over 35 minutes in a blowout loss to Atlanta.
Should neither Clarkson, Bryant or Williams return to the lineup on Sunday when the Lakers host the Golden State Warriors, they would be down to three true guards on the roster in D’Angelo Russell, Young and Marcelo Huertas.
