The Lakers brought their training camp roster to 16 players Monday, signing undrafted rookie power forward Zach Auguste.
A four-year standout at Notre Dame, Augsute averaged 5.3 points and 4 rebounds in four games for the Lakes’ summer league team in Las Vegas last month. As a senior with the Fighting Irish, he averaged 14 points and 10.7 rebounds.
Auguste joins a deep frontcourt that already includes veterans Timofey Mozgov, Yi Jianlian and Luol Deng, as well as Julius Randle, Larry Nance Jr. and Tarik Black.
The Lakers can invite up to 20 players to training camp, which opens Sept.
