If there is controversy to be had, the Clippers will find it. Or so it seems.
In a season when star forward Blake Griffin punched out a team equipment staffer in January at a restaurant in Toronto, more bad off-the-court news came the Clippers’ way on Sunday morning when they found out rookie forward Branden Dawson had been arrested for felony domestic violence.
The Clippers were then routed by LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers 114-90 before a matinee sellout of 19,342 at Staples Center.
It was not a good day for the organization, to be sure.
