Forward Jeff Green had played four games with the L.A. Clippers before Monday’s game against the visiting Brooklyn Nets after being acquired from the Memphis Grizzlies for Lance Stephenson and a future draft pick at the trade deadline.
Friday’s game at Sacramento was Green’s best as he scored 22 points on 9 of 13 shooting - 4 of 5 from 3-point range - and also grabbed five rebounds and blocked a shot in 31 minutes of the Clippers’ 117-107 victory. Green started for Paul Pierce, who was not with the team because of personal reasons.
Clippers coach Doc Rivers likes what he saw.
