The Los Angeles Lakers had their best season in a long time this year, but that wasn’t without some hiccups along the way. Chief among them was a stretch in December and January when the team lost 12 out of 13 games, including nine straight.
Following the last of those losses, to the Charlotte Hornets, LaVar Ball made a claim that the team had quit on head coach Luke Walton. It was Ball’s most pointed criticism of Walton to date.
It sparked a fever pitch over whether Lonzo Ball had discussed locker room matters with his father.
