Kobe Bryant to sit out against Thunder with sore shoulder

Kobe Bryant will miss Saturday’s game at Oklahoma City due to pain in his right shoulder, Lakers’ coach Byron Scott told reporters at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

Orange County native Anthony Brown, who attended Ocean View High School in Huntington Beach, will start, Scott said.

Bryant continued his run of strong individual play in Thursday’s 20-point loss, scoring 22 points on 9-of-16 shooting.

A driving dunk in the third quarter elicited a standing ovation from the crowd. After the game, however, Bryant acknowledged he thought briefly about his right shoulder on the play.
