Kobe Bryant deserves to be All-Star, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver says

On Thursday, the NBA opened up balloting for the 2016 All-Star game, scheduled for Feb. 14 in Toronto.

For the first time in his career, Kobe Bryant is listed as a frontcourt player instead of a guard, in accordance with the 17-time All-Star's move to small forward this season.

Will the fans vote him in for an 18th appearance?

"I hope to see him there," said Commissioner Adam Silver on Sirius XM NBA Radio on Thursday. "I think he deserves to be there."

Bryant has struggled through 19 games this season, averaging 15.
