Lakers forward Julius Randle has been diagnosed with pneumonia, and will be held out of team activities for the next two-to-three days, the team announced Saturday.
Randle was held out of the Lakers 96-88 loss in Utah on Thursday with what the team termed a “viral infection.” He will be reevaluated by team physician Dr. Daniel Vigil of UCLA on Monday.
It’s more bad news for the slumping Lakers, who are already without point guard D’Angelo Russell, who is has missed the last three games with a strained right calf and a sprained MCL in his right knee.
