The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly talking about buying out little-used reserve Jose Calderon. It sounds like that is pretty much a done deal, because Anthony Slater of the San Jose Mercury News reports that the “Warriors are expected to sign Jose Calderon once he works out a buyout with the Lakers.”
Calderon has by all accounts been a solid mentor for the younger Lakers, and has never groused about his playing time coming and going based on injuries elsewhere in the rotation.
