Jemerrio Jones didn’t necessarily to make the same splash that Alex Caruso did when he joined the Lakers from the G League. He just wanted to do whatever it took to help the Lakers win, and in his case it was the little things.
The 24-year-old played six games for the Lakers in his first NBA season, averaging 4.5 points, 8 rebounds and two assists per contest, but although his playing time was brief this year, Jones was happy to get to absorb guidance from his more experienced teammates.
“Rondo was just like ‘keep your foot on the gas and keep taking advantage of your opportunity,’” Jones said.
