The Los Angeles Lakers are easily the most storied franchise in NBA history. Beyond just the 17 championships — tied for the most in league history — they also have been home to a majority of the league’s greatest players. Most of these great names were brought to the team during the Buss era, from when Jerry Buss bought the team in 1979 to today under the tenure of Jeanie Buss.
Even though Buss has only been in charge of the team for a few seasons, she has been around for all of the ups and downs that have befallen the Lakers franchise.
