Frank Vogel says Lakers are ‘excited’ for Anthony Davis to return

The Lakers announced on Friday night that they’re going to re-evaluate Anthony Davis in two weeks as he continues to rehabilitate his Achilles tendinosis and calf strain, but that he has been “cleared to enter the next phase of his return to play process.”

After the team beat the Indiana Pacers without Davis later that night, head coach Frank Vogel said the update on Davis didn’t surprise him, and seemed to take it as a good sign.

“We anticipated it’s going to be a little bit of a build-up once we got back (from the All-Star break),” Vogel said.
