LOS ANGELES >> Three men who foiled a terrorist attack on a train in Paris in August will be honored at Staples Center during tonight’s Laker game against the Detroit Pistons.
Spencer Stone, Alek Skarlatos and Anthony Sadler -- all friends since boyhood -- became American heroes when they charged and subdued a gunman on a train Aug. 21. During some media events after foiling the attack, Sadler was photographed wearing a Lakers T-shirt.
When he returned home to Sacramento in late August, that city’s mayor, former NBA star Kevin Johnson, presented Sadler with a Sacramento Kings jersey, joking that he took exception to the pictures of him wearing Lakers paraphernalia.
