Los Angeles Lakers guard Alex Caruso was arrested by Texas A&M University Police on Tuesday for possession of under two ounces of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office. Caruso was released later that day on cash bonds totaling $3,552.
In the State of Texas, possession of less than two ounces of marijuana is a Class B misdemeanor with a maximum fine $2,000 and 180 days in jail. The possession of drug paraphernalia is a Class C misdemeanor, which can result in a maximum fine of $500, but not jail time.
