It did not take long for the Los Angeles Lakers to sign Anthony Davis to an extension. On the first day that Davis was extension-eligible, the team inked him to a record-breaking three-year extension that will keep him in LA through the 2027-28 season.
Keeping Davis was a no-brainer for the Lake Show. Sure, there are justifiable concerns about his health and how he will age but keeping him around is far better than just letting him walk away. The hope is that Davis can contend as long as LeBron James is in town and then usher in a new title window with another star.
