The Los Angeles Lakers might be looking to trade up in the draft in order to acquire Markelle Fultz, and it might have something to do with Josh Jackson's second workout for the team.
After Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress reported the Lakers' high level of interest in Fultz, he reported that Jackson's second workout with the Lakers "did not go well at all." According to Givony, Jackson "brought high energy but struggled with his shooting and handle," both of which are knocks on him as a prospect.
The timing of the reports would imply that this bad second workout in conjunction with Fultz "murdering" his had an effect on the Lakers' thought process in wanting to move up for Fultz, even if just to illustrate that the difference between the Washington guard an the rest of the class is incredibly stark.
