The NBA trade deadline is rapidly approaching, and the Los Angeles Lakers are expected to be in a good position to make some trades around that time. The latest name involved in Lakers trade rumors is Robert Covington of the Minnesota Timberwolves. Covington has been a valuable player on every team he’s played for, and he could be the ideal wing to fit next to LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Trading for Robert Covington would not be easy, as the Lakers would likely have to give up DeMarcus Cousins, Quinn Cook, and most importantly, Kyle Kuzma.

Another forward that has been kicked around in trade ideas IN THE VIDEO ABOVE is Jae Crowder of the Memphis Grizzlies. Crowder has been a solid role player all throughout his career, but he may be ready to move onto a more competitive team after spending this season with the Memphis Grizzlies. The Lakes could hypothetically make a deal to send Kyle Kuzma and Avery Bradley to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Jae Crowder. Crowder may be an upgrade on the defensive and rebounding side of things for the Lakers, but ultimately, moving Bradley and Kuzma for an aging Jae Crowder would be a major downgrade that the Lakers should not consider.

Markieff Morris has been another name that has emerged as of late for the Los Angeles Lakers. Morris has been an excellent 3-point shooter all season long for the struggling Detroit Pistons. Morris can play either forward position and would be an excellent piece off the bench to provide some scoring and toughness. However, the Lakers are not the only Los Angeles team interested in acquiring Markieff Morris as the Clippers have begun to show significant interest in trading for him as well to help bolster their already deep bench.
Lakers Trade Rumors Discussed:
- Robert Covington for Kyle Kuzma
- Jae Crowder for Kuzma and Bradley
- Markieff Morris for Quinn Cook
