The Los Angeles Lakers made their first foray into this year's free agency by signing SG Kentavious Caldwell-Pope Tuesday night. The Lakers might not be done yet either, as they're looking at two points guards.
By the way, Rajon Rondo and Tyler Ennis are still under consideration by the Lakers. They haven't decided yet how to proceed.

Rondo interests the Lakers as a potential veteran mentor for Lonzo Ball and a young Lakers team. He averaged 7.8 points, 6.7 assists and 5.1 rebounds per game last season in Chicago. Despite being viewed by some as a problem in the locker room, the Bulls' players (especially the young ones) liked Rondo.
Ennis was a mid-season trade addition by the Lakers last year. In 22 games with the Lakers, Ennis averaged 7.7 points and 2.4 assists per game, both career-bests. He also shot a career-high 38.9 percent from 3-point range. He's younger than Rondo, but doesn't bring the veteran presence the Lakers are searching for.
