The Los Angeles Lakers have almost sealed the number one seed in the Western Conference, and if the NBA decides to restart right with the NBA playoffs, the Lakers will either face the Memphis Grizzlies or the Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the playoffs. If the NBA sticks to the traditional East/West format of the playoffs, the Lakers will go up against Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies. If the NBA reseeds the playoffs 1-16, the Los Angeles Lakers would go up against Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets.

In Bleacher Report’s latest 2020 NBA Mock Draft, the Los Angeles Lakers are selecting Kira Lewis Jr. out of Alabama with the 29th overall pick. Kira Lewis Jr. had an extremely impressive sophomore season at Alabama and has almost certainly secured himself as a first round pick in the NBA Draft. If Kira Lewis Jr. falls to the Los Angeles Lakers at the end of the first round, they should absolutely select him, as he could develop into a starting caliber point guard at some point in his NBA career.

LeBron James joined the Los Angeles Lakers with high hopes of winning multiple championships. He hasn’t won one quite yet, but Danny Green, LeBron’s teammate, is already saying that he is taking the Lakers back to the same level they were at when Kobe Bryant was there. Kobe Bryant won five championships with the Lakers and three straight when Shaquille O’Neal was his teammate. LeBron James still has a long way to go before he reaches Kobe Bryant’s level of stardom as a Los Angeles Laker.
