The Lakers traveled to Atlanta tonight to face the Hawks, Tuesday 2/12/2019 to wrap up a 6 game road trip with a 2-4 record, and will not play again for 9 days until 2/21 (Thursday) at home against the Rockets after the 2019 NBA All Star weekend that gets started in a few days in Charlotte.
Though they lost, the Lakers never quit and kept the game very close and very winnable all the way down to the final seconds. LeBron James was a man on a mission tonight, racking up a triple double in the loss. The Lakers were led in scoring by:
LeBron James - game high 28 points (plus 18! assists, and 11 rebounds)
Brandon Ingram - 19 points
Kyle Kuzma - 19 points
The Hawks were led by rookie Trae Young and PF John Collins with 22 points each. Young also added 14 assists in the victory.
The Lakers now have a 28-29 record heading into the break. The Hawks improve to 19-38.
