Bill Simmons enraged the Twittersphere once again after comments he made during ABC's NBA Countdown show prior to Tuesday's NBA Finals Game 3.
Simmons implored NBA fans to begin to appreciate the Miami Heat's LeBron James, saying that the league had waited "15 years" for the next great superstar after Michael Jordan - with LeBron implicated as the heir apparent.
This sent a ton of fans on an absolute rampage, as the Los Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant - he of the five NBA titles, two NBA Finals MVP awards, and sixteen All-Star selections - was completely overlooked by Simmons.
Here's the Twitter fallout from The Sports Guy's (perhaps blatant) omission:
Bill Simmons just said Lebron is the best player since Jordan played. Uuummmm did he forget about KOBE!

how is Bill Simmons gonna say we waited 15 years after Jordan for a great player like LeBron.. did he forget about Kobe? Must have.. — Fadi (@FeelinFahad) June 11, 2014
As much as I think Bill Simmons was right about Lebron's greatness...We didn't wait 15 years after Jordan. Remember that guy named Kobe?
