Pau Gasol's time with the Los Angeles Lakers looks like it has come to an end, as the four-time NBA All-Star has turned down a two-year contract to return to the team, per Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.
According to Wojnarowski, the Lakers offered Gasol just over $5 million per year to come back - an offer which Gasol declined:

Earlier in the day, Gasol tweeted out that he was very close to coming to a decision on his next destination. Multiple reports are indicating that the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Chicago Bulls are favorites to land him, with the Spurs putting together a full-speed recruiting effort in order to sway the veteran big man to join the reigning NBA champions.
While there is always possibility for a change of heart, the Lakers will likely begin looking for potential replacements on the free market as soon as possible.
