The Los Angeles Lakers were reportedly targeting Ohio State guard D'Angelo Russell with the #2 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft as early as this morning, but it appears they may go chalk with the selection and take Duke's Jahlil Okafor.
Per the L.A. Times' Mike Bresnahan:
Lakers leaning toward taking Jahlil Okafor in tonight's draft, The Times has learned. They'll be on the clock at 4:35 Pacific time.

Bresnahan adds that the rumored trade that would send the #2 pick, Julius Randle and Jordan Clarkson to the Sacramento Kings for All-Star big man DeMarcus Cousins is close to being dead in the water:
I'm hearing there's only a 10% chance of Cousins-to-Lakers trade taking place today. Kings want a lot for their All-Star center.

Lakers unwilling to part with Julius Randle in Cousins trade talks. He's lost 20 pounds and his outside shot has improved. A lot.

All of this could change in the hours leading up to the draft, so stay tuned.
