According to Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times, the Los Angeles Lakers are currently engaged in three-way trade talks with the Chicago Bulls and (potentially) the Houston Rockets that would send Pau Gasol to the Windy City.
Bresnahan reports that the Lakers could receive a draft pick or two as compensation, with falls in line with Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski's recent report that the Lakers are not pursuing Chicago veteran swingman Mike Dunleavy Jr.:
Mike Dunleavy Jr., isn't expected to be included in a proposed Lakers-Bulls sign-and-trade for Pau Gasol, league source tells Yahoo.

The difference in salary between Gasol signing with the Bulls cold in free agency and landing there via sign-and-trade is not insignificant in the least:
Pau Gasol move to Bulls matter of sign-and-trade that could get him $10M per year, or straight signing for $6.5M range, sources tell Yahoo.

However, per Wojnarowski, the Bulls are a reported lock to land the four-time NBA All-Star regardless of the method of his acquisition:
Whichever form Gasol's deal takes, he's destined to join the Chicago Bulls soon, league sources tell Yahoo.
