In another Lakers rumors and news update for your 4th of July weekend, Kobe Bryant, New York Knicks free-agent forward Carmelo Anthony, and coveted Minnesota Timberwolves big man Kevin Love were spotted playing pickup basketball at UCLA on Sunday.
Here's ESPN's Ian Begley with the scoop:

With the Los Angeles Lakers currently rumored to be vying with the New York Knicks for Anthony's services at this point, what could be a innocent game of hoops to pass the time between three friends could be seen as much, much more in regards to the current landscape of NBA free agency.
Toss in months of rumors surrounding Kevin Love and potential interest on the Lakers' part to swing a trade for the perennial All-Star, and there's plenty of room for speculation about the genesis of a new Big Three in Hollywood.
Edit: Love's involvement in the pickup game is currently in question, per Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports:
Either way, things continue to get extremely interesting around Staples Center - so, be sure to stay tuned to Chat Sports for all the latest on this wild and wacky offseason in Los Angeles.
