The Los Angeles Lakers have been looking forward all offseason long to having a healthy Steve Nash and Kobe Bryant together on the court at Staples Center.
However, Nash scared everyone on Saturday after rolling his right ankle in practice.
According to Serena Winters of Lakers Nation, it was Nash's foot that was "tweaked" when he stepped awkwardly:
Gary Vitti says Steve Nash tweaked his foot at practice today in an interview w/ NBA TV at the practice facility - should have more soon

The Lakers' head athletic trainer added that Nash was taken out of practice for precautionary reasons, but didn't seem worried about any potential long-term effects:
Athletic Trainer Gary Vitti says they want to be careful w/ Nash so he's being held out, but does make the foot tweak sound minor

With Nick Young reportedly out 6-8 weeks with a torn ligament in his shooting thumb, losing another weapon such as Nash would only add to the injury frustration that mounted all season long in 2013-14.
However, things seem to be cautiously optimistic surrounding the future Hall-of-Famer, so stay tuned.
