The Los Angeles Lakers will reportedly have a key piece back in their rotation, as Nick "Swaggy P" Young should be ready to make his 2014-15 NBA season debut in the first game of a three-game road trip on Tuesday in Atlanta.
“The Defensive Player of the Year is here today and he’ll be here Tuesday,” Young said in his first full practice since his thumb injury on Saturday, via Evan Barnes of Inside the Lakers.
Saturday will be Young's only full practice before the game on Tuesday. He will participate in a shootaround on Sunday morning before the team flies east on Monday.
Regardless, Young is ready to get back on the court and help his teammates turn around a season that has started in less-than-ideal fashion.
“I love the game and to see them struggle, I wanted to be out there with them. If we lose, we lose together,” he said.
