In what may come as a shocker to most Los Angeles Lakers fans, and perhaps NBA fans in general, the Los Angeles Lakers will reportedly retain Mike D'Antoni as head coach for the 2014-15 NBA season.
Per Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com, Mark Heisler of the OC Register is reporting that the Lakers' front office has decided on keeping D'Antoni -- at least for the time being --
"After 10 days of soul searching, the key figures in Lakers management are agreed on bringing back D’Antoni for a third season as coach, a source with knowledge of the deliberations told the Register," writes Heisler.
While no official announcement has been made by the Los Angeles Lakers themselves, it seems pretty certain that the Lakers will hold on to the embattled coach for one more year.
