New Los Angeles Lakers big man Tarik Black was an absolute force on Friday, posting 14 points on 4-for-4 shooting along with nine rebounds in the team's 101-84 home victory over the Orlando Magic.
Via Bill Oram of the OC Register, head coach Byron Scott says that Black's performance could mean some more work for him in the Lakers' crowded frontcourt rotation:
Byron Scott said Tarik Black earned rotation minutes tomorrow vs. Portland. His near dub-dub last night "impacted what I might do tomorrow."

Jordan Hill, Ed Davis, and Carlos Boozer are all currently averaging 24 minutes or more of on-court time in Scott's rotation. It's unclear if the Lakers head coach will shave a couple minutes here or there from the trio's minutes or take the bulk of the time away from fellow reserve big man Robert Sacre.
Stay tuned.
