The Los Angeles Lakers are considered several options with the No. 2 pick - namely Duke's Jahlil Okafor or Ohio State's D'Angelo Russell - and fans are wondering how the prospects would mesh with Kobe Bryant on the court.
However, according to general manager Mitch Kupchak via the L.A. Daily News, Bryant's "never been great with rookies," and he won't be a major factor in their draft decision:
"We’re not going to pick a player because he can play with Kobe, likes Kobe or dislikes Kobe," Kupchak said. "We’re going to pick the player that can have the longest and best career."
