There has been bushels of bad LA Lakers news surrounding Steve Nash and his injury-plagued 2013-14 season. However, the LA Lakers' future Hall-of-Famer seems content to focus on the best parts of his career--drawing a comparison between himself and one of the great young superstars of the newest NBA generation.
Speaking on Slate Magazine's Hang Up and Listen podcast, Steve Nash singled out Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry as the player whose play resembles his overall game the closest--
"I see a lot of similarities in some ways in my game with Stephen Curry’s game but he was a two-guard and I think he became a point guard after the fact, so he has a mentality to shoot and score and I think it’s terrific and in some ways I wish I had more of that mentality..."
Despite, in Nash's words, having to be "pushed to score," the LA Lakers' 8-time NBA All-Star ranks 9th in NBA history in 3-point percentage (42.8%) and 1st overall in free throw percentage (90.4%).
