The Los Angeles Lakers see nothing but huge things ahead for first-round pick Julius Randle. His former coach at Kentucky says that his impact could be even bigger than even the Lakers might be hoping.
Randle played just one season with the Kentucky Wildcats, but head coach John Calipari saw enough out of the kid to draw a very interesting comparison to former Lakers great Shaquille O'Neal:
"Understand in college he (@J30_RANDLE) was triple teamed every game. Shaq is the last guy to be played the way he was played.” - Calipari

Randle isn't likely to face those double and triple teams in his first NBA season. With a healthy Kobe Bryant on the floor, Randle should see plenty of open looks as the season progresses.
However, he does have the raw talent and physical presence to force teams into guarding him with an extra man - something that could prove two steps above valuable for the Lakers as the years progress.
