In today's Lakers news update, don't count out Derek Fisher just yet as the potential next head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers.
Per Darnell Mayberry of the Oklahoman (via Ryan Ward of Lakers Nation), Fisher spoke with reporters about the possibility of coaching his old friend, Kobe Bryant:
Fish on coaching Kobe: "I hadn't thought about that much. But when you're brothers, you're brothers, regardless of what capacity it's in."

Fisher is leaving the door open, however - which could lead to intense speculation over his chances of replacing former head coach Mike D'Antoni -
More Fisher on possibly coaching Kobe: "If something like that were to happen, we're brothers so we'll figure it out."

Fisher has been rumored to be linked to the New York Knicks coaching job as well, with Knicks president Phil Jackson reportedly halting his coaching search until he can have a full chat with Fisher about the position.
With the Thunder now out of the playoffs, it may now be "game on" in regards to teams that may be vying for Fisher's services in one capacity or another.
