Three-goal flurry ignites Kings' 5-2 win

For the Kings, it was their final visit to the Oilers’ home since 1974, and with the win, earned points in 16 of their last 17 trips to the old barn, posting a 13-1-3 mark that dated back to February 28, 2008. The Kings also snapped Edmonton’s seven-game win streak on home-ice, and are now a perfect 3-0-0 on their current four-game road trip.

Dwight King, who had yet to play this season after requiring foot surgery when getting injured in a preseason game against Colorado, made a surprise return to the Kings’ lineup. The power forward was quick to make an impression, scoring the first goal of the evening early in the second period.
