The Kings’ ECHL affiliate Ontario Reign have reached the league’s Eastern Conference Final for the first time in franchise history. They’ll begin a best-of-seven series against the Allen Americans Sunday afternoon; a series that decides which one of the clubs will advance to play in the Kelly Cup Final.
The Reign posted a regular season record of 43-19-4-6 mark (96 points), situating them at 2nd place in the Pacific Division and 3rd overall in the Western Conference.
TWO ROUNDS DEEP
After going the distance to defeat the Colorado Eagles in seven games during the first round of the playoffs, Ontario made short work of the Utah Grizzlies in the second round, ousting their opponent from playoff contention in five games.
