Darryl Sutter offered us a late surprise when he started Jhonas Enroth instead of Jonathan Quick. Wow, did that ever make no difference at all for the Los Angeles Kings.
Sure, Enroth was good, but the offense was once again the... STAR.
Now that the raucous laughter has subsided, let's marvel. Ten goals on the road after a frustrating few weeks of offensive production, and all ten goals came at even strength. No leaning on the power play, no fluky seeing-eye shots by defensemen, just lots of players chipping in. It helped that, for the second straight night, LA scored two goals in the first six minutes, setting them up to capitalize on counter-attacks and to lock down defensively.
