The Kings took their training camp on the road today, playing in an intra-squad scrimmage in Ontario (current score: 0-0, which doesn’t feel surprising at all), giving Inland Empire fans a chance to see NHL stars, as well as many familiar AHL faces, take the ice.
Helping promote the game by bringing the Kings inland is one thing, but the team had an even bigger announcement up its sleeve: the 2020 AHL All-Star Game will be heading to Ontario.
The game, scheduled to take place at Ontario’s Citizens Business Bank Arena on January 26 and 27, 2020, marks the first time that the AHL has headed to the west coast.
