TORONTO (AP) -- TV analyst Bob McKenzie and Los Angeles Kings radio broadcaster Nick Nickson will be honored by the Hockey Hall of Fame later this year.
McKenzie, who works for TSN in Canada, is the winner of the Elmer Ferguson Memorial Award for excellence in hockey journalism.
Nickson is the winner of the Foster Hewitt Memorial Award for outstanding contributions as a hockey broadcaster, the Hall announced Thursday.
They will receive their awards at the Hockey Hall of Fame NHL Media Awards luncheon on Nov 9 in Toronto.
McKenzie joined TSN in the late 1980s and is considered to be one of the most connected and trusted analysts covering the sport.
