Kings To Play Prominent Role At Upcoming World Cup Of Hockey 2016

LOS ANGELES --The Los Angeles Kings will be well-represented at the upcoming World Cup of Hockey 2016, the best-on-best international hockey championship which begins this month.

With six players participating and six staff members serving in various roles, the Kings are tied for third among all NHL clubs in terms of participants at the highly-anticipated event.

Defenseman Drew Doughty (Team Canada)
Defenseman Jake Muzzin (Team Canada)
Forward Jeff Carter (Team Canada)
Forward Anze Kopitar (Team Europe)
Forward Martin Gaborik (Team Europe)

Staff Members:

President/General Manager Dean Lombardi (General Manager, Team USA)
Head Athletic Trainer Chris Kingsley (Athletic Trainer, Team USA)
Director of Team Operations Marshall Dickerson (Team Services, Team USA)
Assistant to the GM/Special Projects Coordinator Lee Callans (Assistant to the GM, Team USA)
Vice President/Assistant General Manager Rob Blake (Management Staff, Team Canada)
Head Equipment Manager Darren Granger (Equipment Manager, Team Canada)

Eight teams – Team Canada, Team Czech Republic, Team Europe, Team Finland, Team North America, Team Russia, Team Sweden and Team USA – will compete in the two-week tournament, featuring more than 170 of the best players in the NHL.
