Kings Sign Defenseman Jamie Mcbain To A One-Year Contract

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings have signed defenseman Jamie McBain to a one-year contract, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

The 27-year-old McBain (born on February 25, 1988) is a 6-1, 181-pound native of Edina, Minnesota, who appeared in 26 regular season games with the Kings this past season, his first with the club. He recorded nine points (3-6=9), four penalty minutes and a plus-four rating with one of his goals coming on the power-play.

A second-round (63rd overall) selection by Carolina at the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, McBain has appeared in 301 career NHL regular-season games and has 101 points (28-73=101) and 66 penalty minutes with the Kings, Sabres and Hurricanes.
