LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings made six total selections, all today, in rounds two through seven at the 2015 NHL Draft hosted by the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Fla.
The Kings opened day two of the draft by selecting defenseman Erik Cernak from Kosice in Slovakia’s top league in the second round (43rd overall). Cernak, a 6-4, 207-pound 18-year old (born May 28, 1997) is a native of Kosice, Slovakia and totaled 13 points (5-8=13) in 43 games last season. He has won two league championships with Kosice the last two seasons (2013-14 and 2014-15).
